Command Line Arguments

Using Command Line Arguments

DR Sim Manager can be launched with various command-line arguments that allow you to control its behavior right from the start. Here's how you can use them:

Location of the Executable

The executable file DR Sim Manager.exe is located in the WindowsApps folder. The path to this folder can vary based on your system configuration but generally, it would be in one of the following locations:

%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps\DR Sim Manager.exe

C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps\DR Sim Manager.exe

Available Command Line Arguments

-minimized: Starts the DR Sim Manager in a minimized state.

-autostart: Automatically starts motion on launch. Note that the game and profile arguments need to be present for this to work.

-g <game name>: Selects the game on launch.

-p <profile name>: Selects the profile on launch.

Example Usage:

From a shortcut or StreamDeck, you can launch the executable with -minimized -autostart -g DCSWorld -p "Apache profile" arguments to select the game and profile, and it will start the motion and be minimized.

Additional Info

  • The game name will be the same as the profile folder. Right click in DR Sim Manager, and select Browse Profiles to see all the game folder names.

  • Use quotes if the profile name has spaces in it.

Using Stream Deck

With Stream Deck, you may see an error stating "The file cannot be accessed by the system." when browsing to and selecting the DR Sim Manager executable. You can insert the direct path to the exe into the App / File field instead of browsing to the executable.

Stopping Motion Using a Macro

To stop motion with a macro, use the stop motion shortcut, wait a couple of seconds, then kill the process.
